Yesterday me and my friend Rick moved the heavy bits of the Durst L184 enlarger. Yep You really need two persons if you want to maken life a little bit easier. Today I started to build the beat up. And I have to say I am pretty amazed with myself. That is because in the last 3 years I build up the L184 tore it down moved it a couple of times and yet not a sinlge piece went missing! So I was able to resurrect the almighty beast of light! So I'll show you some photo's.
In the last photo you can see the two boards that will be mouted on the wall. That will give me about 2,5 meters workspace for my trays to develop my photo's in. Above that I will put two shelfs to put my beakers, funnels and bottle for chemicals.
Since the beginning of august I have access to a darkroom. Since then I am busy making it light tight and painting stuff black. The room is white and I leave it as such. Just where the enlarger will be located I will paint the wall or part of the wall black to prevent reflections. Next week en the 30th of august I will move all my darkroom stuff into my darkroom. I just need to buy 2 to 3 tables and a closet so I can put my stuff somewhere. When that is completed I will put some boards on the wet side so I can put my baekers, funnels and such within reach. My darkroom up to this point:
